Soon you feel like home on this strong sail-ship. SY DAISY is a One Off Ketch 54’ steel, build in Danmark 1988 designed by Arne Borghenh, who is drawing for the danish warf MOTIVA. Beam 4,70 m, draught 2,50 m, tonnage: 30 t, mainmast: 22 m, sails: 170 sqm on the wind, engine: Ford-Diesel 6-heads 120 HP, fuel: 850 l, freshwater: 650 l, GPS, radar, VHF, power-generator 3,8 kw, 10 banks, 2 bathrooms, warm water, heater, big saloon. Owner and skipper: Hermann Engl, born 1950 in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. He sailed about 60.000 nm and wrote several books. Some of them have sailing as subjekt.
SY DAISY rounded with Hermann as skipper in 2007 the British Isles and visited Norway till Narvik and Svolvear on the Lofotes. She sailed around the North-Atlantic-Ocean, through the entire Caribbean Sea, visited Mexico, sailed along the US-Eastcoast till Halifax, passing the Acores back to Europe to the Mediterranean Sea had a winter-berth in Croatia an sailed afterwords touching Malta and Sicilia the Baleares and again to the Acores Islands. In August 2009 she visited several Harbours at the northern coast of Spain and France.
She sailed from Dartmouth to Edinburgh, visiting Dover and Ipswich and Hartlepool etc. and then straight over the North-Sea to Germany passing the Kiel-Canal. She returned to Germany and stays during the winter in the lovely german city of Eckernförde, Baltic Sea.
In the year 2010 she starts in March for a journey to Stockholm and St. Petersburg. Afterwords again to Norway and Scotland, Ireland, the Canares Isands to cross the Atlantic again.
The whole journey is divided mostly into trips of three weeks, which usually start and stop near international airports. Everybody, who enjoys sailing on a strong and fast yacht is invited to join the crew. The skipper likes to speak English.

The wide saloon invites to hours full of recreation and the pantry makes delicious lunches and dinners possible. "Gemütlichkeit" this is its home. It means, it is a cosy place.
